Ladyboys and Ladyboy bars the big Pattaya attraction?

I have just recently relocated to Pattaya and starting to understand the city more.

Something that stands out to me is the number of ladyboys and ladyboy bars in Pattaya and how many people come to the city to visit ladyboy bars.

Its something nobody ever mentions when they talk about the city and the nightlife industry, even in Nana Plaza in Bangkok I recall most of the bars are Ladyboy bars and ladyboys outnumber the girls in the plaza.

I was also told that on the dating site ThaiFriendly that the Ladyboys are more popular than the girls.

I just find it a interesting taboo that everyone ignores, but is probably a big driving factor to tourism and people visiting Pattaya.

What do you think? Never try never know?
